Holding an 18-year dance background, Ozzy Dris has the opportunity to travel, dig, & collect a wide variety of music from different parts of the world and is excited to maintain the title of a dancer while continuing to excel into the title of a sound selector also known as a DJ. With the mentorship and inspiration from Djs and producers such as Tyrone (Tybierius), Los Boogie, Soulrane, Jeff Swiff, and many others, he continues and strives to play in local Twin Cities' dance sessions and parties.
From the womb to the tomb of music, DJ Tyrone started DJing house music and breakdancing when he was 12 in the late '90s. Influenced by the 2nd generation of Chicago house DJs; Paul Johnson, Roy Davis Jr., Boo Williams, Gene Farris, Cajmere, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, etc. he loves that Chicago house sound! He started going to First Ave Sunday nights playing an assortment of music, rock alternative hip-hop and dance music, getting into the club scene, and underground. Local Dj's Miss Miss E-Tones also was a big influence playing disco to deep house music. Slowly his love veered into ghetto house; the fast tempo, tech and dirty lyrics hit a chord with him. Ralph Lauren, aka Dory Kahale, a local DJ that spun ghetto house and a combination of tech-house and techno minimal. And it hit him!! This is what he wanted. Around the same time, he, along with his brothers and friends, made a promoting and djing crew called Family Werks.
He wants to see people move and have a good time no matter what it takes!
